Good ways to defend against Wyverns

Question

I'm at the first mission where there's Wyverns and I'm getting my ass handed to me.

How do I effectively defend myself against them?

I am an apprentice.

As an apprentice, magic missle towers will do the trick for you. You just need to place them in a spot where they will focus on the wyvers and you'll be fine. If it is the map that I'm thinking of, the one where there are 3 doors on each wall away from the crystal, place the Magic Missle towers on the diagonal walkway just above the lava.
