What are all the differences between Mother 2 (JP) and EarthBound (US)?

Question

From reading this post I found that what appears to be a significant amount of content was changed when Mother 2 was localized as EarthBound for Western audiences. The article focuses on (possible) copyright-related changes and lists several of them.

Is there a more complete list of changes? Were the changes just due to intellectual property risks or were other changes made beyond translation? I've played the entirety of EarthBound but not Mother 2, so if there's anything that compares scenes/story elements/whatever that works for me.

Asked by Ben Brocka

Answer

Yes, the very same Tomato (the owner of EarthBound Central and the fan translator of MOTHER 3 into English) has an extensive comparison site specifically for this question: http://earthboundcentral.com/m2eb/

There's probably more than you ever wanted to know about the differences between these two games. :)

Can I scan a LEGO structure and generate a Minecraft world?

Question

I have a LEGO structure I would like to import into Minecraft. I have a digital camera, but no other specialist tools. Is there any way of doing this?

Answer

I don't know of any way in particular. One potential problem with doing this would the the relative differences in height to width to length ratios. All of the blocks in Minecraft are cubes, whereas a 1x1 LEGO brick is taller than it is wide and long. A direct translation of brick to block would end up with a structure that is too short in Minecraft.

Deus Ex HR language options

Question

Does anyone know if Deus Ex Human Revolution, NA version, come with Spanish audio/subtitles?

Answer

I just started up the game and it has language support for spanish. But while all text displayed was in spanish, the voices and dialogue were all still in english.

Additionnaly, I bought the steam version and live in Canada.

Hope this helps!
