What are each of the “Special Vehicles”?

On the challenge sheet for each area in Burnout: Revenge, is a challenge bearing the following description:

Takedown a Special Car in [Area name]

Can someone give me a complete list of where I might find each of these vehicles for each area? I haven't been able to find even one so far.

There is no simple list that can be provided the special cars you will see will depend on the car that you are driving. According to Operation Burnout you won't even be able to see them until rank 6:

The fifth challenge for all areas is "Takedown a special car". You can't attempt this challenge until Rank 6 - at that point, special cars will be in your Race events. It will be the fastest car in the race, so you can tell which car is a special car by if it speeds ahead of the rest of the pack. Catch up with this car and force it to crash to get a Takedown and complete the challenge

Here is a list of all available cars including special ones at least with this you will know what to look for. However again you will not always see the same ones on each level so just get better cars if you want some special ones in your race.

How do I unlock officer cards in Dynasty Warriors Next?

I've recently picked up a PS Vita along with the game Dynasty Warriors Next. In DWN, there is a campaign mode that unlocks officer cards to make your officers playable. However, there are quite a few other cards that can be unlocked, but I don't know how.

Can anybody tell me how to unlock those?

Note: I looked on google, but my answer was not there.

There is only one practical way to unlock characters, and that is Conquest mode.

E.g. Your group say Wei vs Other, and you notice there is a number #/14. The # represents the amount of characters you have already unlocked. If you go to battle over a territory and you end up fighting a character you don't have, you have a chance to unlock them. For all groups, Shu, Wu and Wei, you unlock 16 in the campaign. I think 2 for Jin and 2 for Other. There are 2 sets to every character, the 1st of which is normal and a 2nd which has different clothes, stats, abilities and units.

I want to find out when special features like damage, better AI, weather effects etc gets unlocked in GT5, but the searches I performed just turned up guesses or rumours. Is there a definitive answer for how GT5 unlocks work?

Answer

I believe there is no "unlock" for features. Damage is in, and can be turned on in some modes. Weather effects appear in certain races (marked "change weather/time" in selections). Some higher level and special races have rules like no skid recovery, but no new magic will appear otherwise.

Software updates constantly provide more features, of course.

Best way to unlock Krogan in multiplayer?

If I'm primarily interested in unlocking new weapons and classes, and assuming I've got 60k or so in credits, am I better off buying 12 Recruit packs for 5k each or 3 Veteran Packs or 1 Spectre pack? I'm sure once I have a lot of races and weapons unlocked for multiplayer, saving for the Spectre packs will be the better idea (unless I need medi-gel/rockets/etc).

However I'm just starting out and I really want (amongst other things) to be able to play a Krogan!

Answer

Krogan are only unlocked as Rare items, which means that your best bet is opening Spectre Packs (because they guarantee a rare).

It is possible to get them in Veteran packs, but tends to be less likely.

I don't think there is good data yet on what the % chance of a rare rolling for Recruit and Veteran packs are, so I guess it comes down to:

"Does this one consider itself fortunate?"

Because you're effectively gambling either way - and especially since there's no guarantee you'll get a character at all (you could also get weapons or a respec kit).

How to discover the passwords for the Sonic Generations secret trophy room?

There is a secret trophy room in Sonic Generations.

Hold down Select or Back button while inside the Collection Room.

Once inside the trophy room, trophies are unlocked by inputting 6-digit codes.

How can players discover such codes by their own?

I'm not interested in a list of the codes. I know I can search the web and find such list, but doing so spoils all the fun. What I want to know is how can I discover such codes by myself. Does the game give some hints about the codes? Did SEGA release hints somewhere outside the game?

So, from the looks of it, these are not unlocked in the game. Rather, as The Sonic Stadium blog states (warning some codes are listed, avert your eyes):

According to Hogfather on the SSMB, the codes are printed on particular merchandise tags e.g. on T-Shirts and pants tags.

Also:

If you haven’t already scoured the internet to get the hacked codes (because that’s cheating, isn’t it?), then don’t worry, because the Japanese Generations site has begun to give out some of these codes!

Looks like these codes are rewards for buying merchandise (or looking them up online).

Also, as a update, it looks like the official SEGA blog is also releasing these codes.

The Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo unlocks some items for use in the retail version. What are all the unlocks? Does finishing any of the quest chains in the village unlock anything?

I've already got the items one gets for signing into the EA servers (including the Reckoning armor for Mass Effect 3) as well as the Infernal Helm for meeting the Fateweaver and I got the Reckoning weapon for Mass Effect 3 when the demo timer ran out.

What unlocks the bonus levels in Slice It?

In Slice It! (for Android, if that makes a difference), there is an extra "Bonus episode" with five levels, but no hints are supplied as to what unlocks them.

At some point I managed to unlock one of them, and I haven't finished the rest of the game, so apparently it's not a matter of "Complete all the levels and it will unlock".

So what do I need to do to open up those levels?

A lot of the level unlocks aren't related to simply completing levels, but are related to getting a certain number of total stars overall, so you want to make sure that you do well in each level, getting as close to 5 stars as you can.

If I recall correctly, you don't need to 5 star everything to unlock all of the levels.

How many theme unlocks are in ASYNC Corp.?

I've unlocked four so far. They appear to unlock based on the number of "units" you produce. The fourth theme seemed to take longer than the previous three, but I've been playing a long time without unlocking anything else. Am I just driving myself crazy? Without Game Center support for achievements or leaderboards, unlocks are kind of my only motivation to play this game, as wonderful as it is.

There are a total of 20 Themes to unlock, with the last one being a sort of gag theme, unlocked at 1 million Units Shipped. The 19th, I believe is unlocked at 450K or 500K, I can't remember exactly what we set it at last. The rest are interspersed between that and 1K, with no set interval between them all. IE, the more you unlock, the longer it takes to unlock the next. I think, however, the biggest gap between two themes is 50K.

Also to note, some of the themes are based on other video game properties. 2nd theme is Assassin's Creed 1, with Metroid being another. There may be more, but I forget.

Difference between unlocking card decks and purchasing DLC deck packs

Is one able to unlock all the cards in MTG-DoP-2012 by just playing single player or are there some cards that are obtainable only by purchasing DLC deck packs? If there some that are only obtainable through purchasing, does anyone know of an online list of these cards?

There are two ways of getting cards unlocked in the standard M:TG Planeswalker games - you either play through the single player game multiple times with each of the decks, which will eventually unlock everything, or you can pay for the deck unlocks. You can get the full listings of all the cards in the decks that come with the game at http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Digital/DuelsOfThePlanesWalkers.aspx?x=mtg/digital/d12/decks - this will show you not only the unlockables for the standard decks but also the expansion decks and scheme decks that are used in multiplayer.

The rest of the DLC out there (The Deck Packs and the Expansion Pack) are totally optional, but you can only get their decks and cards by purchasing them - they are not able to be earned simply by beating the game. Pack 1 adds "March To War" (a R/W Soldier deck) and "Ghoulkeeper" (a black Zombie deck). Pack 2 nets you "Dark Heavens" (Black & White, angels & demons) and "Forest's Fury" (a Green stompy deck). The expansion pack will get you three new decks in addition to new cards for the old decks.

I've collected over 500 coins so far and the only things unlocked from those were new kart customizations. I have also beaten every Grand Prix in 50cc with 3 stars (first time, no less!) but nothing got unlocked there.

There are some regular characters missing from the line-up (like my favourite, Wario) so I assume more can be unlocked at some point. How do you achieve this?

Levelling in FIFA 12

In FIFA 12 you are awarded XP and rise through experience levels. Are the experience levels actually used for anything, e.g. unlocking features? If so, is there a list somewhere of what gets unlocked at each level?

The points are used to compare yourself with other players, and the points you earn are also given to whatever club you've chosen (whether you are actively playing as that club or not), which are then used to rank the clubs in week long "seasons".

Advanced equipment - What for?

I just unlocked the Advanced Equipment (level 23). What is the benefit?
First, you have to go to each character and activate it (quite cumbersome, another way to do it?) and the online help is quite succint.

Does the assassinate button appears from a longer range? Are your assassination quicker so you are less prone to counter? Or is it just to have other colors available? And in this case, why separate equipment and color?

OK so, from what I've gathered here and there, advanced equipment (and following evolved equipment) as well as color packs don't give any of the advantages I may have think of.

When you are given a target, the target picture shows the default equipment and color. Having another color/equipment selected can then confuse a little bit your pursuer.
Additionally, it seems players like customization! :)

Are there more Golden Temple levels?

So last night I unlocked and completed level 9-1. So I now have all the K-O-N-G letters and all the puzzle pieces. I went to view the image gallery, since I have collected all the puzzle pieces, and I noticed that the "Golden Temple" gallery has a picture of level 9-1, and then lots of other levels I've never seen: a minecart level wrapping around a giant banana, a Super Paper Mario style level, and a Virtual Boy level, among others. Are these real levels that are unlocked by completing enough mirror mode or time trial levels? It seems weird that there would only be one level in world 9. I've checked the three FAQs on GameFAQs and none mention any levels beyond 9-1, but they all appear to be incomplete too.

No, there is only the one golden temple level. Completing mirror mode nets you a 200% completion, the remaining gallery unlocks, and bragging rights, but no additional golden temple levels.

Fourth Perk type advantage?

In Modern Warfare 3, I've seen many people that have what seems to be a fourth perk when I've been killed by them. Listed under the 3 regular perks (the coloured ones) there is a forrth icon that is always coloured white.

I've seen a few different ones (can't remember the names off the top of my head).

What are they, and how do I unlock them?

This indicates their weapon proficiency. You unlock weapon proficiencies by gaining weapon experience getting kills with that weapon. This will unlock proficiencies such as Impact, Focus or the ability to use two Attachments.
