Name of old shipping game

Question

Recently I was reading something about the port of Singapore and doing so I remembered a shipping game where you had to steer a ship through some hard ports/harbours with Singapore being a hard one. I'm not sure if that was the main point or if it was some business game.

I think you steered it with a top down perspective.

I was only a kid so my best guess was that I played it on Amiga 500 in the early 90's

There isn't much more I remember about this game but you can comment if there is something specific I could try to remember if needed.

Answer

Sounds like Ports of Call (authors page).

There's a gameplay video on Youtube.

I remember it fondly and played it on my PC back then.

Whats the name of this old 8-bit computer game?

Question

My dad had an old amiga computer with a disc that had this game. it was 8-bit looking. you were in one room (overhead view) and had to shoot these aliens or robots that came out of the vortexes on the floor. the walls were one color. the floor another color. the enemies were hard to tell what they were but also just one color each. your bullet was just a dot. the disc had other games like nakamoto, frogger, pyramid run. most likely 80's game.

Answer

Robotron/Llamatron?

Early 90's Amiga or ST game with skeleton asking for disk

Question

The game itself possibly involved some sort of dungeoneering but what I remember is after the first floppy a skeleton head and or hand loomed up holding a floppy and a ghostly voice said 'Insert Disk Two' or similar.

Ring any bells ?

Answer

Maybe Dungeon Master?

Edit: Remembered another game with such a loading screen. Was it Babarian II: Axe of Rage? Check the insert disc screen:

Where to read diary from Wings (Amiga game)

Question

There was a nice WWI flight game from Cinemaware on the Amiga called Wings. Between the sections of the game was a diary which was actually quite a good read. I never played the game to the end and didn't get a chance to read the full diary. I wonder if the diary can be found on the internet somewhere as I want to finish it (20 years later...)?

Answer

The site Recorded Amiga Games has a long play of Wings here: AMIGA LONGPLAY #378 - WINGS.

It should contain all the diary entries. But you have to pause it to read them. You may also want to skip ahead a little in the video since it's over 9 hours long.

You can either download it from the site or watch in on YouTube here.

3rd person Amiga game where you battled tripods

Question

I have a vivid memory of this game. You controlled some kind vehicle and I believe it was third person view. The game took place on earth and you moved around the globe in real time, I recall you could move on land and water. It had simple vector graphics with no textures and the color palette was mainly green and blue for the landscape and I think it was grey and red for the walking tripods you fought. I remember there being red and blue triangular flames bursting from the wreckage whenever you felled a tripod.

Answer

Could it be Triclops Invasion ?
