Why should I keep one of every item?

Question

When I try to sell something the game warns me "Sell Last Item" "Are you sure you want to sell your last Titanium Horn?" Y/N

Is there a game mechanic I'm missing and the game is trying to alert me of it?

Asked by Mccxiv

Answer

There are a few reasons to keep items in your inventory, but there's no hidden mechanic or reason to keep items that you are truly done with. Reasons to keep items are:

  1. Achievements There are achievements for having N items in your inventory and for mastering items.
  2. To master them and gain XP. Mastered items grant bonuses upon their first mastery and sell for double the value of the unmastered item.
  3. The Infinity Blade is the key to some extra bosses and stuff.
  4. Variety. It's a weak reason, but having equipment with a variety of special features, elements, etc. might be useful if you need to farm certain things or need certain abilities for certain fights.

So if you are collecting achievements, keep as many as you can and then feel free to sell away. To max your character and maximize the value at sale, keep items until mastered and then you can sell them. Do not sell the Infinity Blade even once mastered.

Is it possible to beat Infinity Blade on the first Bloodline?

Question

I've played through two bloodlines so far in Infinity Blade. Both times I made it to the boss, and both times he beat me. I imagine it's possible to beat him after leveling up over the course of many tries, but is it possible to do it on the first bloodline?

Answer

It's possible, yes. Just extremely difficult. You just have to avoid his attacks, but seeing as the controls are slow to respond at times, it makes it much harder.

How can you master an item more than once?

Question

One of the achievements, "Keeps on giving", is awarded if you "master any inventory item twice." But how is this possible? If, once you master an item, it stops attaining more experience points, how can you master an item more than once? What am I missing?

Answer

To master an item more than twice, you must have the version 1.2 or higher to fight the deathless kings down in the well. When you put the Infinity Blade in, the 3 doors will open and you are able to fight the deathless kings. After you defeat them, you have the privilege to go inside the big door. You fight a robot enemy named Zero Mech. Once he is killed you fight another enemy which is your original ancestor in the beginning. Once you kill him, you can start New Game+. You can re-master any item!

Screen goes black when I play Infinity Blade

Question

I was playing Infinity Blade on my iPhone 4 and I selected game center option to look at my achievements and when I push the "Done" button, the screen went black. I exited the app and went back it is still black.

How do I fix this issue and return to the game?

Answer

The reason the app is still black is likely because it is still running. Try exiting to your Springboard (home screen) and double-tapping the home button, bringing up the multitasking bar. Find Infinity Blade, and hold down your finger on the icon. They will start to wobble, like you are rearranging apps. Press the little minus icon on the Infinity Blade icon - this quits the app. Tap anywhere on your home screen to return, and try launching Infinity Blade again.

Can you acquire The Infinity Blade other than buying with earned gold?

Question

Is there a way to get The Infinity Blade other than finding/earning the roughly 500000 gold required to buy it from the store?

I love the game, but don't fancy a grind-a-thon or in-app purchase to get it.

Answer

The only way to obtain the Infinity Blade sword is with gold, which can either be earned in-game or purchased through the In-App Purchasing system (approximately $20 USD to purchase enough gold to get the sword in-game).
