Has Nintendo announced whether the 3DS will get downloadable GBA titles? [closed]

I want to go back to playing some old Gameboy Advance games and I'm wondering if Nintendo has made any official announcements regarding plans to make classic GBA titles available on the 3DS online store.

If so, is there a tentative list?

Nintendo hasn't announced any plans to support Game Boy Advance emulation outside of the currently available titles for ambassadors. However, the same was true for the ambassador NES games, until they started appearing in the eShop.

Following that logic, although Nintendo has not announced anything, if they do, you can expect the first games to be:

• Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
• F-Zero Maximum Velocity
• Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
• Mario Kart: Super Circuit
• Mario vs. Donkey Kong
• Metroid Fusion
• The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
• Wario Land 4
• WarioWare, Inc.: Minigame Mania
• Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3

The GBA emulator used for the ambassador games is currently poor. It doesn't support sleep or restore points, and it probably doesn't handle any per-title quirks beyond those needed for the ten ambassador titles released so far. The NES emulator used by the early ambassador releases also had issues, and those were fixed (and available as updates) before the NES titles appeared in the eShop. The earliest sign of Nintendo doing a general release of emulated GBA games is probably going to be the same - updates to the existing ambassador titles.

Is there a GBA Emulator for R4?

I am trying to find out if you can get a Gameboy Advance emulator for the R4 flashcart?

No. You need a Slot-2 adapter (for example the EZ-V 3-in-1) in order to play GBA games. It is not possible to run GBA code from the Slot-1 adapter.

Strategy to defeat final boss in Advance Wars 1

Question

Does anybody have any good suggeestions for winning the final battle in Advance Wars 1?

I continually am getting creamed by meteor strikes and the final boss' ginormous army. Any tips would be greatly appreciated :D

I loved playing this game. Anyway, I forgot what the last mission was about so here's a tip from gamefaqs:

"In this Mission you'll want to control the Air, if you can achieve Air Superiority, or at least keep Sturm grounded, you shouldn't have any surprises to expect. Another important thing to note is, that Sturm's troops have a high attack bonus, but they have a Defense deduction, so always make sure you attack him, never stay in defensive mode. Always attack, attack, ATTACK! And you should win this mission."

Can't remember name of GBA RPG/Shooter

I'm trying to remember the name of a GBA game.

It was set in some futuristic, sci-fi "humans at war with some aliens" universe. The gameplay was essentially that you would walk around an area solving puzzles and such, but every so often you'd have an RPG-style random battle. Only instead of an RPG menu-based battle system, you would get beamed up to a ship and you would have to play an R-Type or Gradius-style side-scrolling shooter. When you had killed enough enemies in this mode, you would get beamed back down to the overworld map again.

Anybody know what this game was?

Eventually got tired of the huge number of random encounters and I stopped.

Can you play multiplayer GameBoy Advance games on the Nintendo DS?

Is it possible to play games like Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure with friends on the Nintendo DS system? Are you able to use the wireless feature to play together with multiple Nintendo DS systems or do you have to use a link cable like on the GameBoy Advance?

No it is not posible to use the Multiplayer Mode in GBA games on the DS, you can only play GBA games in Single Player Mode on the DS, as the GBA games are not able to use the DS wireless features and the DS does not have a connector for a link cable.
