What monsters drop level two clue scrolls?

I want to get some good loot, and I know clue scrolls are a good way to get good items. I know how to get Lv 1 clue scrolls, but I do not know what monster drop Lv 2 ones. Also, could you tell me the item requirements for Lv 2 scrolls(Shovels, sextants, ect. ect.).

This page has a list of all monsters that drop Level 2 (medium difficulty) clue scrolls. For completeness, these monsters drop easy clue scrolls, these drop hard clue scrolls, and these drop elite clue scrolls. In addition, as this page says, there are a couple of other ways to get medium clue scrolls, including Shades of Mort'ton chests (Steel and Black), caskets from big net fishing, Manage Thy Kingdom, Evil Trees, and Trouble Brewing.

Low banking moderately high level runescape monsters

Question

My wife and I are semi-casual Runescapers. We were doing iron/steel dragons today, and she said while it was fun, the monsters took too long to kill. Note that she's only 77/77/77 for combat stats, so things do take a while. (I'm max melee, but that doesn't help her!)

What I like about steel dragons is that you're completely safe/protected, and that you don't have to bank very often. I'm looking for a monster that would be lower level than iron dragons, but still provide a safe environment, decent drops, and significant length of time (30-60 minutes) between each banking.

If this exists, where can I find this?

Depending on the armor your wife is using, Greater Demons or Fire Giants can do that. If you normally kill with her, my choice would be for fire giants, I have not played runescape in around 2 years. However when I did play my wife was low combat level (im maxed, but 95 str) so we would go to fire giants and kill them, when she was low on food I would give her a few pieces and they also drop lobsters which help also. Most items they drop can be stacked and the rune items that get dropped you can either carry runes to high alchmey the items to make even more inventory space for longer trips.

Other think is I would work on my range there why she worked on her stats, so I would just carry a dozen or so sharks for her to use while I took no health. I dont remember her stats exactly but she was like mid 80s def, low 70s str, high 70/low 80 att and she would last this way for about 45 minutes a trip.

Convert Facebook Account to User/Password Account

Question

I created a RuneScape account using the Facebook-Login.

Now I would like to remove this dependency, to be able to log in using user/password, instead of having to use facebook.

I added an email address, but I still can't seem to login using email+password.

Is it even possible to do this?

Answer

Runescape, as with (almost) every other website that allows you to use Facebook to login, does not have any kind of cross-compatibility capabilities, so in this case once you make an account associated with Facebook, you're stuck with it. Sorry.

How do the Hati and Sköll equipment bonuses stack with other bonuses?

The Hati gloves give double combat experience and the Sköll boots give double Agility and Woodcutting experience. If I wear those and have some other equipment that also gives bonus experience in the same skills, what kind of total bonus do I get?

For example, if I am wearing the Hati gloves and a full sacred clay set for some combat style (which also gives double experience) do I end up getting double experience (if they do not combine at all), triple experience (if the bonuses add), or quadruple experience (if the bonuses multiply)?

Do the bonuses stack the same way with different equipment combinations?

Initial experimentation shows that the bonuses stack multiplicatively: When cutting ivy, which has a base experience of 332.5 experience per cut, just wearing hat and legs for lumberjack outfit gives 3.3 bonus experience per successful cut (about 101% experience). Wearing just the Sköll boots gives 332.5 bonus experience (200% experience as expected). Wearing all of those gives 339.1 experience (202% experience). The bonus from the boots combines with the bonus from the Seer's headband 2+ the same way (giving 220% experience total).

However, wearing the boots and using a sacred clay tool at the same time gives the same bonus as using either individually for a total of 200% experience. This also happens with the combination of the Hati gloves with sacred clay armor and weapon.

Is it against the rules to use a bot-client without using it for botting?

I want to do this because the mac client sucks and I haven't been able to find any other clients (except botting clients), which support filling the whole window with the applet, but not the whole screen.

Yes, it is still against the rules.

Under the Rules of Runescape, particularly Macroing & Third-Party Software you'll find the following points, bold mine:

Any game-specific, third-party software that encourages contradiction of the previous statement, bypasses the normal navigation of our website, automatically requests pages from our website or which endangers user accounts are also regarded as detrimental to RuneScape and should not be used.

And under What type of third-party software is NOT allowed?:

Modified or replacement versions of our game applets. Reverse-engineering our game applets is strictly prohibited. Using a modified version of our game applets is not permitted for any reason. Third-party software that displays pages/content from our website(s), and that has specific features (i.e. toolkits) must not be used to access our website unless that software conforms with all of the other rules, and the following additional rules:

It must not hide or encourage the hiding of any of the adverts on our website. To avoid encouraging users to hide the advert above the game, the pane displaying pages from our website must default to at least 630 pixels high (if viewed on a screen with a resolution higher than 800x600), and it must not be possible to resize it to less height than that, i.e. the page must be displayed in such a way that both the game and advert are fully visible at the same time.

Based on their guidelines here in their Terms & Conditions, even if you're using said applet only for the fullscreen properties, it still violates their T&C because their terms state that their advertisements must remain visible.

Additionally, if the program you have does anything else that's prohibited, and falls under Software that monitors, modifies or decrypts the communications between our game applets and our game worlds, your account may be at risk if the applet tries to make hooks that you're unaware of.

Is there a Runescape Grand Exchange feature which shows the Volume in which items are traded?

I'm looking for something that could tell me how much of an item is traded, rather than just the price. This is useful to me for figuring out which items to buy/make/harvest. Basically, I'd like to avoid the problem I keep having of finding something worth more than the material cost, but never sell (for example, making prayer urns). I should also mention that I'm a free to play member, though I'm not sure if that matters at all.

Currently, I'm looking at the price fluctuations of an item over the past 30 days, and making the assumption that items which fluctuate more wildly are bought in higher volume than those which aren't. However, this is not always accurate.

As an example, I'm looking for something where I could type in "Bronze Bar" and be told, for example, "246 Bronze Bars were bought yesterday. 3,021 have been bought in the past week. 11,204 have been bought in the last month."

I am fairly certain that Jagex does not release data about trade volume. None of the GE pages on the website show any of that data.

I suspect that they do not publish this data because if very rich players or clans were to get it they would be able to exercise a lot of control over the market, which would not be desirable.

How can I make money with 99 fletching?

I have 99 fletching and magic, how can I make money using these skill? I always lost money when training these skills, so how can I make money using only these skills?

One option is to buy (on the GE) unstrung magic longbows or shortbows and buy or harvest flax, spin the flax, string the bows, and sell them back. This will only make you about 160 gold per bow.

If you want to use magic and you already have a lot of money, you can buy, enchant, and sell onyx amulets for about 800K gp per amulet. I am not sure what the trade volume on that is, so it could be difficult to buy and sell the amulets.

If you have Lunar Magic and you have completed dream mentor, you can buy mahogany logs, use the spell Plank Make, and sell back the planks for a profit of about 800 each.

Can I transfer items between two of my RuneScape accounts?

I have a non-member account with a purchased dragon plate body, but then I stopped playing. I have now made a different account and I am paying for it. I remembered my old account (the one with the dragon plate body) but he is a non-member, so is there a way to trade my stuff from a non-member to a member?

I see no reason why you can't have a friend login in your old account and meet him somewhere where non-members have acesss to and trade the item there. As long as, of course, the item in question is not a members only item, then your non-member character can't do anything with it. This was of course like 10 years ago that I played RuneScape so a lot may have changed.

What do you get as a member in Runescape?

I thought of becoming a paid Runescape member, but I'm not sure the expense is worth it. Therefore I'm wondering what are the advantages of becoming a member? What more could I do? I'm already a level 40 free player with I've got 100Kgp and full mith armor.

It's been a long while since I played Runescape but I had a members account at one point so here are the advantages:

• A much larger and more varied world. On a free account you have three pretty similar towns, and the Wilderness. Members get locations like the cave goblin city, the dwarven city etc.
• More powerful items. This is most noticeable for Mages where they have access to more runes, and more robes. Free accounts only have the blue and black wizard robes, members have the mystic robes and more.
• Easier money making. On free accounts you need to do a lot of world hopping to find available resources that aren't swarmed by crowds. The population on members' worlds tends to be lower, and they're spread over a much larger area, so there is less rushing to click first for resources.
• More choices for money making: Stuff like pure essence mining is unavailable to free accounts.
• Further advanced weapons and armour: Free players stop at Rune. Dragon items exist for members.

As originally mentioned by Jason Berkhan, there are two other advantages I originally missed.

• Members have a far more quests than free players. Members also get new quests on a regular basis.
• Members have more skills. Skills such as Herblore, Agility and Fletching are members-only.

What happens if you die while wielding the Magical Blastbox in Runescape?

What happens if you die while wielding the magical blastbox outside of daemonheim? Say I purchase one from the rewards trader for 40k dungeoneering tokens, then go to the wilderness with my newly acquired blastbox and get skulled. Will I lose my blastbox if I then die?

Answer

Yes. If you are skulled and in the Wilderness, you lose everything. If you are just skulled, but not in the Wilderness, you drop everything in a gravestone, which you then have a limited amount of time to return to in order to retrieve your items.

You can see what you could lose and keep when you die by bringing up the Items Kept on Death screen from the Equipment page. This will show you the items that you automatically keep (some quest items and low level items), as well as the group of items where you will be able to choose three items to keep. Again, any items dropped are stored in a gravestone for a limited amount of time.

You can then click on the What if I entered the Wilderness button to see what would happen if you died in the Wilderness. Note that both of these screens assume you are not skulled.

What are some fun RuneScape activities for a F2P small group with different levels?

RuneScape is a fun game but I've lost interest because I have higher levels than my friends, and we aren't able to have fun together. In addition, I'm paying for membership while my friends remain free players, so this again stifles our fun.

What are some fun things that a small group of people (2-4) of all different levels can do in a free world?
