The Freeflow Perfection trophy/achievement in Batman: Arkham Asylum requires you to use all of Batman's combat moves in one freeflow combination. What are all these moves? What controller buttons are used to make them?

Answer

The moves you have to perform in a single combo are (PS3 / 360 / PC):

• Strike (Square / X / Mouse Left)
• Counter (Triangle / Y / Mouse Right)
• Cape Stun (Circle / B / Mouse Middle)
• Evade (X / A x2 / Space x2)
• Throw (Square + X / A + X / Shift + Mouse Left)
• Takedown (Triangle + Circle / B + Y / Shift + Mouse Right)
• Ground Takedown (R2 + Triangle / RT + Y / Ctrl Left + Mouse Right)
• Batarang (L1 / LT / Q)
• Batclaw (R2 x2 / RT x2 / C)

Difference between “Batman: Arkham Asylum” on PS3 and XBox 360

What differences are there between "Batman: Arkham Asylum" on PS3 and XBox 360?

Here's a comparison

GRAPHICS

Although both consoles had issues, the PlayStation 3 had a few less and having a camera that shows more helps when being attacked from all angles, or if you need to find a place to hide.

PERFORMANCE

Both consoles dropped frames and there was screen tearing. It would have been nice to see one console with neither screen tearing nor frame skipping.

CONTROL

Tie. Identical controls.

LOADING

Tie. The PlayStation 3 has a 1 gig install that took only 3 minutes and yet one could argue that with a mandatory install, PlayStation 3 should have performed better. However the latter could counter that if the Xbox 360 had a mandatory install it should have done better…which we know is impossible since not everyone has a hard drive.

OUTCOME

Although we’re pretty sure you’re gonna be happy with buying Batman: Arkham Asylum on either console, we believe the PlayStation 3 is the better game even if it wasn’t a perfect win.

In Batman Arkham Asylum, does the game continue after the story is finished?

I'm currently playing through this game (bit late to it, I know) and am wondering if the game will allow me to go back to previous regions and find all the collectables (Riddler Trophies, etc) after I've completed the story - or if I need to do these as I go through the game?

Yes, you can freeplay after the end of the game in order to collect all the Riddler trophies and complete any challenges you may have missed.

This answer is applicable to the PS3 version and may be applicable to the other versions as well.

Where is the Riddler in Arkham Asylum?

I took all the trophies and enigmas. After the last enigma I got an incoming transmission (if I understood, it was to tell me where Edward Nigma is located) but I didn't understand perfectly.

On the map there is nothing. So where is the Riddler?

Answer

My understanding was that he wasn't actually on the island, and when Batman collects all the riddles he deciphers the location and sends the police there. I recall hearing Edward Nigma being arrested over the radio transmission.

A slightly disappointing conclusion to the long search for riddles, perhaps :)

I have no idea how I can access this trophy:

It's near the batcavern, but how do I get there?

I believe this is the one where you need to use the upgraded batclaw to pull down a wall in the cave, and through that path you can reach the "island" by some gliding and ziplines.

In Arkham Asylum, are there Riddler informers?

In Batman: Arkham City there are "green" criminals that you can interrogate for the Riddler's stuff.

Are these same green criminals available for interrogating in Batman: Arkham Asylum?

In Arkham Asylum there are Riddler maps instead of the Riddler informants that are in Arkham city. The maps serve the same purpose, but are slightly more difficult to find as they don`t stick out as much as the green henchmen do.

I was playing Batman: Arkham Asylum and during my travels, I found this item set locked away behind an unpassable vent bar.

It's a single cell, not available to get, just out of reach.

What is this supposed to reference, or is it just random?

Is it possible to load a save file from a game of another region (PS3)?

I played Batman: Arkham Asylum (BLES) for a while and got almost all the available trophies (the PS3 equivalent of achievements). Yesterday I bought the Collector's Edition (BLUS) and I noticed that I could not use the same save file I used before.

I don't wanna to play the game from beginning right now, I just want to get every trophy and be ready to play Batman: Arkham City.

Does anyone know if I can do something to fix that?

Nope, you're up the creek. Save game files are locked to the region of the disk (at least in the cases I've dealt with). You could try logging a support request with the developer to see if they can help you out.

What are the different endings available in Batman: Arkham Asylum

I played through Batman: Arkham Asylum a couple times, and remember getting two different endings:

one where Killer Croc's hand shoots from the surface of Gotham Bay, and the other where its Bane's hand.

What are the different endings available? What do or don't do you do to get each ending? Or are they random?

Answer

The endings are completely randomized. You've seen 2 out of the 3 endings. The other hand that you may end up seeing is that of:

the Scarecrow.

Neither playing the game through on different difficulties nor acquisition of Riddles will affect what ending you receive. And far as players have been able to determine, it's either completely random, or it's based on variables obfuscated enough that the playerbase can't figure it out.

I was just reading on Wikipedia about the forthcoming Batman: Arkham City, and it seems the developers were planning the sequel before the original was even released. There is a secret room somewhere in Arkham Asylum containing Quincy Sharp's plans to build Arkham City.

Where in the game can I find these secret plans?
