Can I bind a key to give my pet a potion?

Question

In torchlight I know how to feed my pet a potion Shift+Right Click and how to bind an action to a number key, but how can bind giving a potion to my pet to an action key (ie: 2).

Answer

You can give a potion to the pet by holding Shift and then press the shortcut of the potion. So if your health potion is on 2, you would press Shift & 2

Can you call for a medic? How?

Question

I asked in game about how to call a medic and someone said that you press 'Q'. But I couldn't get it to work, so maybe this person was pulling my chain.

How do you call for a medic?

Answer

On PS3, you have to target a medic of your team and press Select. I suppose you're on PC and Q is the right key, so, you first have to target a medic of your team with your crosshair and instead of shooting, press the key! They have to be close enough. If it works, you'll hear your guy screaming out for help.

How to map keys in Half Life 2/Team Fortress?

Question

I'm sick of trying to get my rocket jumps accurate enough to actually jump places, that I'm left trying to jump instead of killing the enemy.

How can I bind a series of keys to a single button?

This would be helpful in Half Life 2 too. (snigger, tutu)

(They are the same engine, doing something in one should be the same in the other, right?)

Answer

You need an alias. Create a file called autoexec.cfg in your Steam\steamapps\YOUR_ALIAS_HERE\team fortress 2\tf\cfg and add the following:

//Rocket Jump
alias +rocketjump "+jump;+duck;wait;+attack"
alias -rocketjump "-jump;-attack;wait;wait;wait;-duck"
bind mouse2 "+rocketjump"

Change mouse2 to your desired key. You can do so much with scripting, this is just one example. Check out the TF2 Wiki for more.
