In a dream, I don't really have a clue what's going on, and they all seem to end the same way with
the boy bursting into flames
Is there anything else that can happen, or any way I can influence what goes on in a dream?
Answer
Nope. You can't even run away, Shepard will turn around and run back.
You will eventually have to do what you're meant to do, so you might as well get it over with straight away.
