Help me identify an old platformer, from 1996

Question

The year was 1996. I remember seeing an ad on TV and my parents buying it for me. I can remember everything except his name. The main character looked like a rabbit. His hands and feet floated, there were no arms or legs. I'm pretty sure I have seen him in 3D recently but I don't know if it's the same character. He shot something as an weapon. I had barely played it before they stole both the CD and the package at school, during computer class. I was 4 years old at the time so I vaguely remember it. Can you guys help me?
