An old game about a US plane fighting with Japan in the Pacific

Question

I played this game in first half of the 90s. My PC (DOS) had a two-color screen (amber).

The game (on a 5 inch portable disk) was about fighting in the Pacific during WW2. You saw the plane from one side (left or right, depending on the direction of flight - like in platform games). To control you used arrow keys, space (gun) and enter (bombs etc.)

The plane could carry 30 bombs or 15 rockets or one torpedo. To begin you would take off from aircraft carrier, next fight with Japan planes, destroy bunkers on islands, down enemy ships. To add fuel, ammunitions and repair damage, you had to land on your ship. You had only three lives (planes). At the bottom of screen was bar with indicators (ammunition, fuel and little screen that shows a front view of plane).

That all I remember. Does anybody know what this game was?

Answer

Wings of fury, released in 1989, seems to fit the description.

preparing to land
