Question
I played the game on a 286, so it is pretty old.
It was a lot like the famous Dyna Blaster. You looked from the top at a game field, battled enemies and blew blocks away.
There were stationary, rotating blades that killed you if you came near them. I remember the first two levels being in a castle-like structure with dark walls. In the third one, you could actually get out of the castle and into an open field.
I had a trial version of this game with only the first three levels. I recall the game being called BombMaster. When you started it up, an intro animation was displayed. A nuke was being dropped into a desert and the words "Looking Glass" appeared.
I haven't been able to find this game for years. It is as if it never even existed, though I admit I may have misremembered something. I tried searching for those names on the web, in images and on abandonware forums, all to no avail.
Answer
This doesn't seem to fit your time line, but the name does.
Boom Master
