It was a Windows 9X adventure game with colorful 2D graphics that looked like an animated cartoon. I got it from a cereal box (can't remember which) around 1998-2001.
The game's visuals reminded me a lot of the Ren & Stimpy Show; it even had the show's trademark close-ups. The humor was similar as well.
There were two characters: an alien and a purple platypus. I don't remember how the alien looked like, but I do remember that the game started with a video of his spaceship crashing on earth.
The game's story was that the alien was forcing the purple platypus to find the parts to repair his spaceship. In order to control the platypus he used a mind-controling device that looked like a remote control with a red button. The platypus had a receiver antena on his head.
One of the first scenarios of the game (maybe even the first) was a farm. I don't remember much, but I do remember a simple puzzle that involved sending the platypus inside a haystack to search for a needle.
