Question
Is there anyway to play battlefield 3 from various xbox systems just by recovering your gamertag?
I hope so...
Currently I am trying to play battlefield 3 on xbox 360 at work. We have in office xbox 360 systems (yay!) but after I recovered my gamertag and attempted to play multiplayer... I was asked for the EA multiplayer code, and re-entered it. I was denied, saying that my code was already registered and that I could by another one for 800 MSP.
I have played many games on other peoples systems, using my legit gamertag and maintaining my stats.
Other than EA hoping to HOCK codes for 800 MSP, what can I do? EA profiles should be tied to gamertags, not hardware.
Answer
There are 2 possible options for you, I think:
- Take your profile and game data on a USB drive with you.
- Recover your profile on the other 360, and re-download the Online Pass. This should be available to you on the other machine since it was previously downloaded. The full steps to re-download content are here, but basically: Guide, Settings, Account Management, Download History, find the item and re-download it.
This all being said, I dont' have the game and haven't tried it, but let me know if it works.
