Question
I'm trying to remember the name of an old game (I think it was on the NES) that I played with a top-down view on a grid-based map. Each level would have a big land mass with some enemies roaming around. Your character could dig trenches or cracks in the ground to separate smaller pieces of land from the main land mass, which would drop those pieces of land from the board. Each level might start with some pre-dug trenches/cracks. To kill the enemies, you had to completely separate the piece of land they were standing on from the main land mass, thus dropping them into oblivion with that piece of land. The levels ended when all the enemies had been killed.
Does anyone know what game this was?
Answer
Sounds like Dig Dug II, an arcade game from 1985 that was also ported to the NES.
