How to make table like in the NPC village?

Question

In the NPC village you can see tables in some of the houses.

How could that table be created ?

Answer

Tables can be made by using a single fence post and then placing a pressure plate on top of it.

Craft the fence like so:

And now the pressure plate:

And here is what it should look like:

Note: Pressure plates can only be placed on fences in the latest update (currently 1.8 pre-release, which is available here).
