How do I use the [really] secret unlocks?

There are a total of three unlocks that give a similar message when viewed in the database. I have no idea what this message is talking about.

Are these unlockables for a different game or something? How do you use/enable them?

Answer

There are a few things that are unlocked in the "Bionic Commando" remake by doing certain things in "Bionic Commando: Rearmed." The BC Retro Outfit is one of them. You have to have a BC: Rearmed save with this unlocked in order to use the skin in the other game.

The unlocks are:

- BC Retro Outfit - Complete BC: Rearmed.
- Prototype Weapon - Get the Albatross icon from the last level of BC: Rearmed
- Purple Matrix - After getting all the Yashicis, find the Purple Matrix item in Area 00

Where is the Yashichi in the Construction Yard?

I'm still missing a 'secret' in this stage, which has to be the 'Yashichi' as there's one in each level. I've scoured the level top to bottom, and the only suspicious thing left appears to be this door to the left of the boss fight area. There doesn't appear to be any way to reach it. How do I open it, and then how do I get to it to explore the secrets within?

You can't get to this door, and it's not where the Yashichi is.

The Yashichi is earler in the level, there's a good walkthrough in this guide:

[From the start of the level w]alk all the way right until you encounter a concrete block that you can't climb over. Walk back a little bit and start climbing up until you reach the small building with a picture of a hard hat on it. Get on top of that building. You want to swing from the point on the roof above the small building that is just under a blue barrel. Make a couple of swings until you're under the blue barrel and then swing right to land on the concrete block. The Yashichi is just past it.

What Does the Switch in 'The Construction Site' Do?

I almost missed it, but this box is one of the switches like you see in the first tutorial level. I hit it with my bionic arm, and there was a satisfying clunk, but I have no idea what it did. Did it change something waaaay back down at the bottom of the level?

Is This a Megaman Reference? [closed]

Question

This looks suspiciously like one of those little helmeted bastards from the Megaman games. Is it a reference, or am I just crazy?

Answer

It certainly appears to be the helmet from a Met. Unfortunately, the pictures at the Megaman wiki aren't of a high enough quality for me to zoom in for a good look. Fortunately, the pic you attached and a couple of other unofficial sources are and the helmet on the poster looks to be the same, pixel for pixel.
