Question
I am searching for an old Windows 9x (95/98 era) game:
- It was futuristic—your craft was very similar to a space ship.
- You never went into space; or at least, I never progressed that far.
- It was close to a flight simulator—you flew over a filled (not wire frame) landscape.
- The landscape was dotted with bases which had turrets etc.
- There were tunnels that you could fly into; some contained boss sequences.
- It has a an early attempt at 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF); as far as I remember, while flying over the landscape you were pivoted upwards, but had near-6DoF in tunnels.
Answer
Was it Terminal Velocity? It had atmospheric combat, lots of tunnels, bosses in said tunnels and was made for Windows 95.
